The dryer threw a code f28. I took a damp cloth and wiped the sensor by the lent intake. The dryer switched from sensing to wet on the control panel but the dryer still doesn’t come on. What’s my next step?

The F28 error on the cabrio models also means the moisture sensor is open, which means it's probably bad. However if the sensor is good then the sensor circuit on the main board has failed. Very unlikely problem so I would just go ahead and replace the moisture sensor first if that does not fix the problem then you will need to replace the control board.
