Whirlpool Duet model WED9200SQ0. Replaced the thermistor and high limit switch after Error code F25. Cleaned out the lint from the unit and dryer exhaust venting. Got great air flow. Ran dryer for 6 loads, worked perfectly. 7th load, got PF error code. Followed the tech sheet diagnostics, pointing to replacing the control board electronics. Question is: could my replacing the thermistor and high limit switch have caused or contributed to the control board going out? Or is it just a coincidence that the control board went out? Could I have somehow connected the wires incorrectly on my first repair, causing the control board to fail? I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Nothing you did caused the PF error. Even if you reversed the wiring on the components you replaced it would not have hurt anything. I am going to say coincidence on that one. Those boards are crazy expensive if you know how to solder you can just buy the repair kit below and rebuild your board for much cheaper.
