Experiencing the F10 error code on my Frigidaire Range Model FEF366AWA. I had to unplug my range to stop the oven from heating up. What should I do next?
The F10 error on your Frigidaire Range Model FEF366AWA indicates that the oven is unexpectedly overheating. Since you've already turned off the power at the circuit breaker, you should turn it back on and check if the error code still appears. If the F10 error persists, the first step is to inspect or replace the temperature sensor in your range.
If you have an ohm meter and are familiar with its use, you can test the temperature sensor's resistance. At room temperature, the reading should be around 1100 ohms. A reading that significantly deviates from this value likely means the sensor is defective. However, if the temperature sensor tests correctly, the issue is probably with the main control board, which will need to be replaced.
For a more definitive fix, especially if you don't have a meter to test the sensor, consider replacing both the main control board and the temperature sensor. If you'd like to start with just one part, replace the temperature sensor first. If the problem continues, then proceed with replacing the control board.
