Our Frigidaire oven, model FFEF3048LSM (serial VT33155018), overheated, and even after it cooled down, it still displays the F10 error code. How can we fix this issue?
If you have an ohm meter and know how to use it, start by disconnecting the temperature sensor on your Frigidaire oven model FFEF3048LSM. The sensor is the probe protruding from the back wall of your oven. Use the meter to check the resistance; it should read approximately 1100 ohms at room temperature. If the reading is outside this range, the sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If the temperature sensor checks out, the next step is to replace the main control board. However, if you don't have a meter, it's important to note that the most common cause of the F10 error code on your Frigidaire model FFEF3048LSM is a bad temperature sensor. In this case, replacing the sensor is your best first step. If replacing the sensor doesn’t resolve the issue, then the control board likely needs to be replaced.
The control board for your model has been discontinued by the manufacturer, so the only way you can get one is to buy a used one. It's also linked below.
