How to Resolve the No Water Error on Washer Model GHW9150PW0

If you started your Whirlpool Duet washer model GHW9150PW0 while the water was off, the washer has likely entered a no water error mode. This is a built-in safety feature designed to prevent the washer from operating without water. When this error occurs, the drain pump will activate, and the washer will not perform any other functions. It's important to understand how this error mode works and how to reset it properly.

Understanding the No Water Error Mode

When the washer detects no water pressure at the start of a cycle, it enters an eight-minute error cycle. During this time, the only operation that occurs is the activation of the drain pump. The washer will not fill, agitate, or spin during this period.

Why You Shouldn't Interrupt the Error Cycle

If you stop the cycle or unplug the washer during this eight-minute error mode, it will only reset the error cycle and start over. This means the washer will continue to operate in error mode without completing a normal wash cycle. To properly reset the washer, you must allow it to complete the full eight-minute error cycle without interruption.

How to Reset the Washer

Once the eight-minute error cycle is complete, the washer's control board will automatically unlock the door and reset the system. At this point, if there is proper water pressure, the washer will return to standby mode, ready for you to start a new cycle. Ensure that the water supply is turned on and that there is adequate water pressure before attempting to start another cycle.
