Why does my dryer make a thumping noise?

Asked by: Martha on September 26, 2018

My dryer makes a thumping noise every time the drum rotates can you tell me what causes that?

Answered By: MasterTech

The thumping noise you're hearing from your dryer is likely due to worn-out drum support rollers. These are rubber wheels that the back of the dryer drum rides on during operation. When the rubber or the bearings on these wheels wear out, it causes the drum to make a thud sound with each rotation. Replacing the drum support rollers should eliminate the noise.

The drum support rollers you need for your model dryer come in a kit. The kit information is below.
